The initial steps that are being taken to promote Sri Lanka as a LPO destination are:
A) outreach and establishing of contacts abroad.
An event such as the National Outsourcing Association Outsourcing Seminar, either independently or as part of an EDB mission could be attended.
A promotional event on the sidelines of this event such as a networking cocktail could be held (assuming that funding from a sponsor or sponsors could be obtained) to enable potential vendors/suppliers of LPO services and potential clients to interact.
B) inwards – the occasion of the AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers) Seminar on Outsourcing in Colombo in early February, 2012 will be used as a platform for a further opportunities to develop contacts.
The Seminar is not purely an AIJA event but open to non-AIJA persons as well and has the support of BASL.
C) Obtain sponsorship to enable LSF to commission a country report by a well known LPO consultancy.
